I recently made the decision to journal regularly and it's already improving my quality of life ๐ซ ๐ฏ Though journaling has always been something I enjoyed doing, I mostly only wrote about deep insights on life I obtained every now and then. As a result, the journals I've filled over the years are more like personal blogs full of self-standing articles rather than a storybook or diary. I wasn't a big fan of the diary approach because I thought that entries would end up being redundant and full of mundane stuff that doesn't even matter. But I was wrong. You know why? Since I started journaling about my life in a regular, diary/story format, I realized that making a habit of reflecting on life makes self-improvement so much easier. It's like taking a magnifying glass and really noticing the things that I tend to think about, the things that make me happy or the things I still struggle with daily. To make my journaling process slightly more dramatic (because I'm ๐ฆ๐น๐ต๐ณ๐ข ๐๐ฝ) I decided to give each season of my life it's own chapter name. I know, talk about main character energy LOL. Doing this helps me realize that my daily actions are actually part of the larger story that God has planned for my life. It helps me accept that not everything needs to happen all at once, and I don't need to meet every goal now. My goals are now seasonal and I focus on the goals that this current season requires from me.
