๐Artists are primarily concerned with aesthetics and ๐ฆ๐น๐ฑ๐ณ๐ฆ๐ด๐ด๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ด๐ฆ๐ญ๐ท๐ฆ๐ด - sharing a piece of themselves with the world. Designers are more concerned with creating things that are meant to be used by others,

As a creative web developer/designer I've fallen in the trap of putting too much emphasis on my artistry instead of making my your designs were easy to understand and to use for my users!
Now, I try to make the distinction between when I'm acting as an artist and when I'm acting as a designer (or when I'm trying to be both). Understanding the difference between the two allows me to be more intentional in my creative pursuits and remember exactly what I'm trying to achieve.
When it's all about me I let my artistry flow unrestrained; when I'm creating for an audience I try to let my design side take over and try to cater to my audience!
