This might drive your close friends and family crazzzyy, but sometimes you have to do what you have to do ๐
I believe muting your notifications is a great way to stay focused and stop dispersing your attention when working with technology. This may not apply to people whose jobs don't involve much computer use, but to us tech people it's probably a life saver.

๐ Now, though I don't mute my phone calls, I've muted texts and social media updates so that I only see a text or an update when I decide to check. I've been doing this for almost a year and it's allowed me to gain control over how I manage my focus.
๐ Understandably, my friends and family got a little mad at me for being so late to everything but since I still check my texts from time to time AND keep my phone calls unmuted so that I'm available in case of emergencies, they stopped caring (I hope...)
Another consequence of doing this is that I have a lot less people texting me at all and I know the ones who still do are my real ones lol.
๐ค What do you guys think about this practice: do you think it's too much/extra or that it's reasonable for our modern times? Is this something you're interested in doing?
